Shop, dine and socialize in downtown Durango! Join us for the Spectacular Spring Red Balloon Event, Saturday, May 11, 11am to 3pm!

More than 40 merchants, including Pine Needle Mountaineering and Pine Needle Dry Goods are participating, offering something fun for everyone in the family - activities, games, events, shopping and more. Stop in and make Spring Suncatchers at both of our stores during the event.

Add to your fun by participating in our Passport Program to win fantastic prizes from local merchants. Plus, don't miss the Red Balloon Drop at 3pm at the Main Mall for MORE prize opportunities. More than $2,000 in gifts will be given away! Stop by to see live music by Pet Giuliani from 1pm- 2pm at the Main Mall. And Ruby Balloon will offer balloon twisting fun for kids. It will be a fun-filled day in Downtown Durango!

Schedule of events:

  • Pick up your Activity Guide and Passport at the Main Mall (835 Main Avenue) at 11am.

  • First 50 shoppers will receive a free shopping tote filled with goodies from our local merchants.

  • 11am-3pm - Visit the participating merchants and take part in our Passport Program for a chance to win great prizes, including a Mother's Day Package valued at $300.

    • Collect a minimum of 10 stamps from Passport locations located in GREEN on the Activity Guide.

    • Turn in your Passport at the Main Mall by 2:30pm. Drawing will be held at 3pm! Must be present to win! See our Activity Guide for details.

    • Passports are available at the Main Mall.

  • Following the Passport Drawing, don't miss the Red Balloon Drop at 3:10pm. Hundreds of balloons will drop from the ceiling of the Main Mall court. One hundred of those will be filled with gift certificates from merchant sponsors, totaling more than $2000! Don't miss your chance to win!
